When my sister and I were young, we watched Mary Poppins almost every day. One favorite part was when Jane, Michael, and Mary were taking their medicine after being caught in the rain.
“Lime cordial, delicious!” says Jane.
“Strawberry, Mmmmmm!” says Michael.
My sister and I would take a spoon, pour water or something in it and pretend it was magicked into delicious lime or strawberry cordial.
This last week, I bought cordial.
Cordial = Kool-Aid.
It was so disgusting. It was so disappointing.
Leah already does this. Whenever she has to take medicine, a game follows where I continuously refill her medicine cup with water (pretend medicine) so she can repeat these lines from Mary Poppins. So cute!
I hate it when childhood memories disapoint when re-lived. Right now Richard is making Snoopy Sno-cones with Naomi – Richard says they’re basically Kool-aid. Is everything Kool-aid?
Oh, Jenny, that’s so cute! Like mother, like daughter. Kool-aid is so gross. Why do kids want it?
